Type 455 is a Class 1 semiconductive screened cable designed to AS/NZS 2802 standards for general-purpose mining applications. Rated for 3.3/3.3 kV up to 11/11 kV, this cable is similar to Type 450 but without a composite insulation screen. It is suitable for slow reeling and trailing applications and commonly used with draglines, shovels, excavators, wharf cranes, and materials handling equipment. Featuring a heavy-duty XHD-85-PCP sheath reinforced with Kevlar® polyaramid yarn braid, it offers excellent flexibility and mechanical protection in harsh environments.
